"Embracing our
vulnerabilities is risky
but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is the practice of stillness, of going inward and of energetic and emotional release and surrender.  Physically, Yin invites us to soften, to let go of any desire to hold in and tense up. Yin makes space, especially between the joints, by allowing our body weight and gravity to pull bone away from bone, thus stretching and lengthening our connective tissues and fascia. The result is a sense of fluidity and agility. Emotionally, Yin helps us release stagnant energy, wounds and sanskaras. Emotions are "energy in motion". If we can imagine the Meridians as a complex system of highways, each associated with an Organ and an Emotion, and the Chakras as circular roundabouts, we can then imagine our life energy as the vehicle that needs to move through. Through Yin Yoga we eliminate traffic jams, road blocks, and collisions. All we have to do is surrender to the shapes.

I love Vita’s classes! I became her fan and follower and I got so much out of it. Her yin yoga classes are full of meaning, stretching and challenges, also they are relaxing. I love how I feel leaving her classes. Her journey through the emotional body workshop series helped me deal with my grief of losing my mom.

"If you want a yoga class to completely transform you mind and body-  take Vita’s yin class!  Between the music she uses, her yoga techniques and words of wisdom she intertwines in each class, you will truly not want to ever go elsewhere.  She’s a one of a kind yoga teacher for whom I am so grateful to have met!"

"I have taken many Yin yoga classes with Vita and find them a very significant and healing practice. Vita is very gracious and informative in her instruction and demonstration. Additionally, I have participated in a journaling/poetry offering which enhanced both my yoga and writing interests.

"Vita is hands down the best Yoga instructor I have taken classes with (no disrespect to anyone else who teaches). She has a very calm demeanor and is just an incredible instructor."
